The Mutewatch

When was the last time you saw an ordinary wrist watch or even a pair that looked alike, one wonders if anything else can be done to make them even more unique. How about a watch without a face, Swedish based company Mutewatch presents us with their version of a touch screen watch.

With no face or buttons the Mutewatch runs on swipe technology, just tap the flat surface and the screen will appear. Equipped with a clock, a timer, and an alarm clock the Mutewatch is considered mute for a reason. With no sound the watch gives off a quite violent vibration, so you will definitely feel it or hear it on your dresser.

You can pre-order now in white, red, or grey for $25 now, which will be deducted from the $260 cost when it’s shipped out at www.Mutewatch.com

GRAST-Lifestyle Store in NYC Subway

The hardest part of opening a business is always location, location especially in New York City. Its hard to find enough traffic of people without having to pay so much in real estate. Then there’s always the worry of how shoppers will get to your business. For Merwin Andrade this is no problem.

GRAST (short for Graphic Store), is a new lifestyle store located conveniently in the mezzanine of the 42nd Street & 8th Avenue Station. Offering many graphic items, GRAST also sales hard to find products like 400% BE@RBRICKS by MEDICOM TOYS. Upon opening the store Andrade was quoted saying,“I saw a void in the untapped market of the NYC subway and wanted to pay tribute to the history of the subway; including the NYC underground art scene and old school graffiti artists.” Similar to commuters in Tokyo, now their New York counterparts would not have to rush during their commute.

Apple with plans of a Smart Bike

With their dominant presence in technology Apple has recently filed to patent a bicycle accessory. The accessory will enable cyclists to attach an iPod or iPhone and share information wirelessly with other cyclists riding in a group, keep track of their heart rate, speed, distance traveled, performance and the performance of any others whom which they are riding with.

Leaving many to wonder if this accessory could be detached and placed in a motorcycle, car or any other mode of transportation. This being the first we hear about this patent I guess we will all have to just wait and see.

After a tremendous comeback with his latest single “Power”, Kanye West follows it up with a different yet unforgettable video. Directed by Marco Bambrilla and inspired by Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, POWER is considered by some as a video painting instead of a music video, either way we can all agree on how much of an artist KANYE is. This track being one of few from his up coming album due out October 12, 2010. ENJOY!!
